••• IN THE SPOTLIGHT •••
Annual Fundraising Show

Every year we extend an open call to dancers to perform in our annual fundraising show.

This is an exclusive opportunity to gain exposure throughout our community and more as we create a platform for live stage performances with a broad audience.

 

Performers/Performing groups and their studios will receive recognition through our promos, social media & 1/4 page program ad. Dancers will also receive 1 individual - professional photo,

1 complimentary ticket, a digital recording of their own performance(s), swag, afterparty, & more! 

  • We are searching for choreographed numbers specific to cultural, hip-hop, lyrical, ballroom, ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and breakdance styles.

  • Audition submissions must be made online by ____________  and include a video of the submitted dance with the actual dancers attending the performance.

​

  • All dancers must be able to remain for the entirety of the annual benefit show, In The Spotlight-Celebrating Diversity In Dance on ____________.

​

  • Event will be held at ________________________. 

​

  • Dancer check-in will be at 1:00PM with tech rehearsal from 2-4:00PM.

​

  • Each number submitted must be between 2-5 minutes in length.

​

  • Each dancer will be required to sign a waiver. Those who are under 18 must have a parent/guardian signature.

​

  • A maximum of two submissions per dancer/group.

​​

  • Each group will be required to provide specifications for lighting and prop staging if necessary during tech rehearsal.

 

  • Please be mindful of content (no profane language in music, lude movement, extremely scant costuming, etc.).

​

  • We expect all of our performers to conduct themselves with the greatest professionalism from the time they arrive at the venue, in the green room, in the wings, on stage and post-show, while showing encouragement, respect and kindness towards each other. Remember, that we are all in this together - creating art in this world to inspire others.
