AMANDA LEYDE
BOARD MEMBER

Amanda Leyde is the founder and CEO of Summit Dance Co. in Redmond, WA, which she has led since 2016. She fosters an inclusive, high-energy, and empowering environment for dancers of all ages.

 

A lifelong dancer and performer, Amanda is a trained in many styles, but is know as a tap dance fanatic, certified in both levels of the iTap Teacher Certificate Program, and deeply committed to honoring tap and it’s rich history as a Black American art form. She has directed decades of youth summer dance camps, taught at many studios and schools in Western Washington, choreographed for regional and national performances, and performed in musical theatre productions including Anything Goes. Amanda is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Learning Innovations—Bear Down!

 

Known for her empathy and sensitivity, Amanda balances parenting her young daughters, business leadership, and managing chronic illness and invisible disabilities with perseverance, courage, integrity, and passion. A lifelong learner and deeply reflective soul, she also loves to read, write, explore nature, and help others grow through mentorship and creative expression.
